Action Alert: Protest Mich. guv during Wed. speech

Brother Shawn Ellis took this photo during Dec. 11 Day of Action in Lansing.
Our brothers and sisters in Michigan are organizing actions around the state tomorrow as Gov. Rick Snyder tells more lies during his State of the State address.

They're called "State of the State Watch Parties," but the passage of No Rights At Work in Michigan ensures they won't be festive.

Michigan Live reports,
Gov. Rick Snyder’s upcoming State of the State speech is expected to draw a range of protesters including labor unions upset about Michigan becoming a right-to-work state.
Another group expected to demonstrate outside the state Capitol wants to ban horizontal hydraulic fracturing or “fracking” related to gas and oil wells.
Snyder’s third State of the State speech is set for Wednesday evening at the state Capitol. He’s expected to talk about proposals to improve Michigan’s road system, jobs and a variety of other topics.
A protest scheduled outside the Capitol involving the United Auto Workers, ‘We Are Michigan” and others will be a reminder of how the Republican governor closed out 2012 – by signing laws to make Michigan the nation’s 24th right-to-work state. Unions are bitter about the new laws to prohibit requiring workers to pay union dues or fees as a condition of employment.
In an announcement about the protest, the union-backed coalition says it intends “to send the message that we can’t trust Gov. Snyder to tell it like it is for working families.”
Here's what "Working Michigan" says about the actions:
The State of the State address on Wednesday and the governor will likely use this opportunity to justify policies that hurt the middle class. We need you in Lansing on Wednesday to send the message that we can’t trust Gov. Snyder to tell it like it is for working families.
