NV Teamsters fighting to unseat anti-worker senator

UPS Teamsters in Sparks, Nev. meet Senate candidate Shelley Berkley.
Casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson is not only trying to buy the presidency for Mitt Romney, he'd like to buy a re-election for Nevada Sen. Dean Heller. Adelson and his family contributed $15,000 directly to Heller's campaign -- and no doubt more indirectly.

Heller is no friend to working families.  In his short time in the U.S. Senate, he voted against Teamsters' interests 85 percent of the time. He voted against middle-class tax relief. He voted for a resolution against making union elections fairer. He voted for two job-killing trade deals with Colombia and Panama.

That's why Nevada Teamsters are working hard to elect Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley to the Senate. Just yesterday Brother Mark Shumar, IBT campaign coordinator, tells us:
We had Congresswoman Shelley Berkley at the Sparks UPS facility (beside Reno) meeting our members as they were coming and going from work.
There were between 125-175 members that she was able to meet.
Teamsters all over the country are out campaigning for pro-worker political candidates. Stay tuned and we'll have more news about this critical election.
