Try this Pabst Blue Ribbon cupcake recipe

We're not kidding. We found it at the Union Recipes Pinterest site (via the AFL-CIO's "Made in America" Pinterest site).

The recipe for PBR cupcakes calls for a 30-minute reduction of the beer (made and delivered by Teamsters, btw), which is then added to the cake. The frosting (of course) includes whiskey. May we suggest UFCW-made Knob Creek bourbon?

The Pinterest site also has recipes for a flag cake comprised of union-made ice cream, french toast drenched in union-made Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and (our favorite) Chicago-style hot dogs made with ... well, you guessed it.

There are plenty of Budweiser recipes as well. Here's one:

Budweiser Cheese Fondue

Ingredients:
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Dash cayenne
3/4 c. Budweiser beer
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
In a bowl combine cheese, flour, mustard and ground cayenne; mix to blend well. In fondue pot, combine beer and Worcestershire sauce. Set temperature at 375° and heat until bubbling. Gradually add cheese mixture and stir constantly until cheese melts and mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes. Reduce temperature to 200° and serve with crusty bread cubes or other dippers.

Note: If you haven't been turned on to Pinterest yet, it's a photo-sharing website that looks like a virtual pinboard where people can manage collections of images of events, interests, hobbies or whatever.
